In this session, you'll learn how to:

  • Identify the skills you have and the ones you need to enhance through self-reflection and the ATD Capability model
  • Using a development activity guide, choose the options that will help you unlock skill improvement and knowledge, aligning them to your goals
  • Plan the right combination of 52 – 12 – 1 to your calendar to open the door to learning and application
  • Create your pitch for investment in your own development
  • Bonus: Apply your plan work to the Fall Conference

SPEAKER BIO

Heidi Matthews is a Training Manager at Terracon, a consulting engineering firm, with a diverse career in facilitation, instructional design, sales, strategic planning, and management for global and national companies. She is recognized for her leadership, idea development, and ability to connect people and concepts to support others' success.

Heidi has actively contributed to industry leadership through her roles on the Construction Industry Resource Training Network board and multiple board positions for ATDKC. She has been a facilitator for Training Magazine Network’s Training Manager certificate program for the past 3 years and continues to mentor several participants. Her ability to connect the dots and pull through concepts while also helping others to risk assess, has made her a valued partner to her organization and colleagues.
